MGSP Volunteer Recruitment

With your help, we can work together to increase public awareness of groundwater and the importance of water quality protection.

Volunteers make it possible for the MGSP to provide individuals with information and assistance so they they can reduce their risks of groundwater contamination, at home and farm sites.

There are many ways you can get involved with the Michigan Groundwater Stewardship Program. By providing some basic information and answering a few questions we can better match your interests and talents with an area of Michigan Groundwater Stewardship Programming.

A Note on Background Checks

Background checks are required for volunteers that may work with youth groups or in schools. We only require this for volunteers working directly through MGSP. Volunteers from other organizations may use MGSP resources and background checks are not required if they comply with the rules and regulations of the organization they are representing.

During the volunteer application process we may need to ask for permission to run a criminal and / or driving record background check.
